About your tour
The Dayton International Peace Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization run primarily by volunteers.
Your admission donation helps make the Museum possible and pays for the exhibits, receptions, workshops, summer camp, teen program, utilities, taxes, etc. Your contribution is fully tax-deductible. For additional savings and opportunities, consider a museum membership.
Built in 1865 and on the National Register of Historic Places the Museum does not have an elevator to the second or third floors. Visitors with physical challenges may not be able to visit the upper two floors. A wheelchair ramp is located in the back of the building near the parking lot. Most exhibits on the first floor.
The recommended age for visitors is age 4 and up and is suitable for most visitors. Some exhibits contain reference to war, guns, violence, racism and social injustice. A children’s room on the second floor is a great place for young visitors to learn about peace.
Please let us know if you have special needs on your visit on the form provided.
