Spiritual Paths to Peace

 

On January 15, 2006 President Ed Zeiders, United Theological Seminary, spoke to a packed crowd at Peace Museum. He spoke on the topic, "Spirituality, Peace, and the Pursuit of Justice: Glimpses of the Sacred in a Violent World", part of a series of lectures on religion and peace.


The second talk in the Dayton International Peace Museum ’s ‘Spiritual Paths to Peace’ lecture series took place on Sunday, February 12th at 3 p.m.  Professor Suheil Bushrui gave a talk entitled “Toward a Culture of Peace”, emphasizing the “Golden Rule” shared, in some version, among all the world’s major religions. 


The third talk in the Dayton International Peace Museum ’s ‘Spiritual Paths to Peace’ lecture series was held on Sunday, March 12th.
Imam Mustafaa Islam will give a talk entitled “Islam Wants Peace in the Soul and Peace in the Community.” Mr. Islam holds a B.A. in African-American Studies from Brown University . He is a board member and past vice president of the interfaith justice organization, Justice, Action, Mercy (JAM), and coaches youth baseball and football in the Springfield area, where he serves as Imam of the An-Nur Islamic Center.
