4/29/2008 Preston & Szabist Universities

We had two more very nice meetings with students at Preston & Szabist Universities here in Islamabad today.

Nearly 200 students in all participated. Staff and students participated in good question and answer periods, so much so that we were nearly late for our second presentation.

There is a lot of built up frustration in a many of the people I speak with over U.S. interference in the policies of other countries. Nothing new that I haven't experienced in other countries I have traveled to, but they are very happy to see that there is an active peace community such as ours pursuing such a positive approach to peacemaking.

It isn't me that is making the impression here it is the peace organization that all of us have worked so hard to put together. People are inspired by the Dayton International Peace Museum and the community that supports it.

A couple of young men wanted to know how they could get involved in our organization.

I told them that just by being concerned and active people of peace that they were already involved, and by actively supporting the mission of ILAP they could do a great deal of good for all of us.
