YOUTH PEACE TALK

We may
not physically have the Peace Bank vault anymore,
but the idea of the Peace Bank lives on at our new location,
and through the young people who became members of
the Peace Bank by affirming to live by the
Golden Rule, to treat others as they would want to be treated.
Below are some of the hand prints that were put in the vault.

Children are the currency to a
peaceful future,
not money spent on weapons and armies.
When young people came to visit the
Dayton International Peace Museum
they had the opportunity to become members of the Dayton Children's
Peace Bank.
Just affirming to live by the "Golden Rule", to treat others
as they would want to be treated, and spreading that message of peace
wherever they go, our young visitors were able to put their handprint
inside the peace vault, as record of their commitment to peace.
We carry on the same tradition at our new home, but no vault.
Young visitors to the new Dayton International Peace Museum
location can
join the Dayton Children's Peace Bank by filling out a
Peace Deposit Slip, with there hopes for peace, and affirming to the
Golden Rule.

We are still saving Pennies for Peace.
Future programs will help fund our
"Pennies
for Peace" program.
We are saving up pennies to send to Heifer
International for
a "Flock
of Hope".
A "Flock
of Hope" is a flock of chickens, ducks or geese sent
to a family in a developing country to help them provide for
themselves and their neighbors.
