HAMDARD UNIVERSITY, 5/2/2008

When we got to the University we were greeted at the door with a bouquet of flowers by some students, the hospitality has been most gracious everywhere we have gone.

Then we spent some time with some of the senior faculty before the presentation.

Hamdard’s founder was a peace person who believed that education was one of the keys to a peaceful society, and the school continues this legacy in programs of social assistance in developing and/or impoverished areas. It is a very impressive program, which they are going to send me more information about.

The presentation went well and we had tea with faculty afterwards where there was a lot of discussion about the U.S. Presidential race. People are very concerned about who will be our next leader.

Everyone I talk to has said that they would like to see someone get in that would change the current U.S. foreign policies.

(I’m not talking politics, just stating fact. People in other countries are very concerned about our leadership.)
