Using resources available
through a multitude of excellent peace programs the Focus on Peace
Initiative offers ideas and consultation on youth peace programs that
cross international and cultural boundaries.
Children are encouraged to participate in programs and projects

teachers and students that would like to share their peace programs/projects
with others.
“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry
on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.”
Mahatma Gandhi
In today’s world there are very few places set aside where “peace” is given a
space for growth. Like the seeds of a flower, unless children find the fertile
soil provided by a peaceful environment it is very unlikely that they will grow
to beautiful flowers of peace. The environment we provide for our children to
grow in today is what will decide the world’s social, political, economic and
ecological environment tomorrow; if we fill it with violence, fear, greed and
conflict their future will contain the same.
The time has come to “Focus on Peace”.
